FireDrake is a company that is owned by firefighters and creates life-saving equipment and advances current fire safety technology. There is nothing more important that saving the lives of those that put their lives on the line every day for us. FireDrake also creates a venue for firefighters, HAZMAT or other public safety personnel to bring ideas for better safety or advancements in their field of service to life through the LSIN program.

Whatever it is that we bring to our firefighting community has been reviewed by a panel of experienced firefighters before it is considered and the prototypes are always firefighter tested.

The Mobile Monitor is FireDrake's flagship product. It was invented and patented by a firefighter in Ukiah, CA. It is a patented, battery operated, remote controlled device that looks somewhat like a mini-abram's tank and creates a safety zone of 1000 feet between the firefighter and the fire or HAZMAT SITUATION. The TLS-350 model (smallest) weighs in at 570 lbs, is 41" long X 30" wide X 33-1/2 Tall. It applies water, Thermo-Gel or Thermo-Foam and other chemicals at a rate of up to 500GPM. It can pull over 1000 feet of uncharged hose and hundreds of feet of charged hose if needed. » more

This is a life-saving firefighting tool that takes firefighters out of harm's way in the case of unstable or unpredictable fire situations or HAZMAT conditions. It can maneuver quickly and is a highly efficient unit that has multiple option packages for just about any job in any industry and virtually every unit for each company could be customized to meet the specific needs.

Instead of putting 6 firefighters at the end of an attack line and attempting to shut off a BLEVE or cooling a dangerous structure, ONE firefighter can control the unit from a distance and the other 5 firefighters can do other critical tasks, greatly freeing up human resources and making sure they all come home. It provides up to 1000 feet of safety zone between firefighters and a serious fire situation. Thanks to this device, Firefighting in refineries, manufacturing plants, large mills, warehouses, wine making facilities and other places where firefighters are injured and killed just got a lot safer.

It can be designed to with-stand the application of most anything. The model offered for sale is durable and designed to take the tough abuse that any hostile environment has to offer. It applies water, (salinized or brackish) thermo-gel, thermo-foam or any other AFFF foam, chemical, decon agent or fire retardant at a rate of 350-1000 GPM depending upon the model chosen. The smallest model (TLS-350) weighs 570 lbs and uses a 2-1/2" fire hose as a supply. The larger TLS-1000 has a larger monitor and weighs approximately 1270 lbs. If no supply hydrant or tanker is available, we do offer pumping system packages that include a supply line that can be used for pond, off the side of a large fishing trawler or we can outfit the MM with it's own tanks.

The Mobile Monitor is designed by firefighters for firefighters. All of our equipment is developed for standard, American industry using top methods of managing costs. This allows the quantity of lives we have the potential to save to be much higher than if these products were only affordable by our military. The Military is definitely an identified market for our products because our soldiers need as much protection as they can get, but our immediate concern is for those firefighters in combat right here in the USA.

FireDrake owners are experienced in the firefighting and manufacturing industry and by combining already developed high technology and using OTS parts, we create durable, new and patented equipment for a minimum of investment. This makes our investors very happy and keeps the price of our products in the range where many companies can afford them.

Our development projects are typically 50% below what other companies will charge to develop the same product. Due to our level of experience, we know how to use a combination of new and old, applied and unapplied technologies together to create new and patented life-saving devices and products.

FireDrake creates equipment for dangerous or hostile environments such as Military, Oil and Gas production, storage, transportation and refining, other chemical production or refining, Agencies for HAZMAT or Nuclear and other hazardous chemical neutralization or disposal, companies that need durable, affordable reconnaissance vehicles.

Further applications include: Agricultural companies such as rice growers, Sugar or other dust hazard refineries, Coke or other mining facilities, and of course, fire agencies that are located where the US infrastructure is old and possibility of structural collapse is a true danger...Airports, space shuttle launch pads, and even residential home owners or neighborhoods where wildfire could mean death. Any place at all where if something goes terribly wrong, firefighters, citizens or other public safety personnel are not sent into harm's way or are unable to escape.

Mine Safety is another avenue for the Mobile Monitor as this vehicle can have virtually any sensor package combined with any type of track and outfitted with wireless or wired technology to relay potentially hazardous situations while the miners and engineers stay safely above ground until the MM has done the recon.

FireDrake has active participants in the Life-Saving Inventor's Network (LSIN) that have submitted life-saving, patentable ideas to improve fire safety. As of June of 2008, we have 3 accredited Inventors that have brought us the next new products and there are 2 more that need to be evaluated. Due to the sensitive nature of new product development, only FireDrake investors that have already signed a non-disclosure agreement are information for our unreleased, new products.
